Restoration DIY

Restoration Hardware is one of my favorite stores.  I love the rustic touches, the earthy textures, and the neutral color palette…I just get lost in the showroom.  But here’s the thing, I don’t have the budget to outfit my home in ALL of RH, so I’m going to have to focus on getting a few pieces and then improvise on the rest.  Some good old-fashioned DIY projects have inspired me to create this look for my home (I think the decoupage map is first on my list)!  Check out these cool tutorials…

RH Bulletin Board – Driven by Decore

Rustic Bookshelf – Houzz

Rope Pendant – Houzz

Faux Zinc Finish – Freckled Laundry

Blueprint Inspired Artwork – From Gardeners Two Bergers

RH Inspired Island – My Greenbrae Cottage

Rope Mirror – Moss Eclectic

RH Books – Mendocino Weddings

RH Inspired Industrial Pendant Light – Simplicity in the South

Kentwood Nightstand – Shanty-2-Chic

French Linen Pillows – The North End Loft

Decoupage Map – From Gardeners Two Bergers

RH Sideboard – Shanty-2-Chic

I find that my personal design style is always changing to some degree, but I would have to say that I am a Country girl at heart.  I love the comfort, coziness, and relaxed feel that it embodies.  I do love to add a bit of Modern elements into the mix to make it more current.

The zinc nightstand is calling my name. I checked out the tutorial on their website and it doesn’t look too hard. Project for this weekend… just maybe!!
