Drab or Fab: Patchwork

0

Patchwork originally was created by sewing small pieces of fabric together to form a larger piece.  Different colors and textures give patchwork a rustic and country feel, but the art has also become modernized with the use of current fabrics.  Patchwork is also used in wall applications, furniture upholstery, and accessories.  Patchwork can definitely bring a busy and eclectic aspect when used in décor, but new and fresh applications can make for eye-catching accents.  What do you think; is patchwork drab or fab?

I find that my personal design style is always changing to some degree, but I would have to say that I am a Country girl at heart.  I love the comfort, coziness, and relaxed feel that it embodies.  I do love to add a bit of Modern elements into the mix to make it more current.

A lot of skill and craftsmanship goes into those projects, no two are alike. I would say that they are definitely fab.

I grew up in a quilting household. I love the mixture of colors and patterns, and it’s great to see the art used in a multitude of ways.
