DIY: Alphabet Artwork
This is a super cute and easy project to create art that is also a learning tool!
Supplies needed and where we got them:
-3 Canvases- Michael’s bought a pack of 7 for $19.99 but we had a 50% off coupon bringing that to around $1.43 a piece.
-3 Acrylic Craft Paints – Michael’s 50 cents a tube
-ModPodge – Michaels $6.49
-Alphabet Flash Cards – Dollar Tree $1
-Glue – had on hand
Total Supply Cost: $13.28
Steps:
1. Paint the canvases so they can start drying. I did 2 coats for even coverage. Don’t forget to paint the edges of the canvases for a more professional look.
2. Cut out the images and the letters. Then lay them out on the dried canvases for spacing. Glue the images and letters down lightly to keep them from moving in the next step.
3. Modpodge over the images and letters. Make sure you keep your layers thin otherwise it will not dry very clear.
All done! Hang up as a triptych and enjoy teaching your little one their A B C’s.
